Our Mission

Our mission is to equip underserved children with the knowledge &  
the training to properly feed themselves for a lifetime.


​​Our Goals

  • Improve food equity
  • Reduce food insecurity by increasing access to nutritious foods in Cincinnati neighborhoods where access is limited
  • Educate children about the benefits of proper nutrition 
  • Distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to area school children who are nutrient insecure prior to school holidays and closures in an effort to close the meal gap
  • Provide hands-on experience in traditional farming, raised bed farming & hydroponics.
  • Create a SUSTAINABLE produce source in Cincinnati nutrient deserts

  • Academic outcome is determined by brain function which is determined by lifestyle habits and environment
  • Health outcomes are determined by proper nutrition or lack thereof  & access to care
  • The diseases & conditions most prevalent in populations living in concentrated poverty zip codes are preventable through proper nutrition and lifestyle habits (exercise & sleep)
  • Lack of knowledge on food, food science & experiential learning

Fruit for the Holiday: Ensuring area students have essential nutrients while schools are closed for long weekends and holiday breaks.

Pay what you can Market:  Fresh, local, affordable, and close. Our markets allow families to purchase $60 of produce for as little as $5.00. in an effort to reduce disease risk and improve outcomes for those experiencing financial difficulties and living in food/nutrient deserts.

Power of Produce: In-school program that teaches students (Title One schools) the outcome of healthy food on their body! Curriculum (prek-12th) is followed by a free farm market, allowing each student to take home $15 worth of produce.​

Level The Playing Field - ensuring area high school student athletes are recieving the vital nutrients needed to succeed on and off the field.

Our school programming includes interactive, age appropriate lessons in healthy eating, taste tests and a farm market for students. Each student will take home $30 of farm fresh produce of their choice!

  • Program provides athletic department with a produce refrigerator and fresh fruits for all student athletes.
  • Educational presentations for students and families includes ;
  • Fueling for Performance - what to eat, when to eat it and the outcome proper fuel has on performance
  • Hydration and Nutrition for post game/match recovery
  • Metabolic rate and daily caloric needs
